KUKA is transforming the factory from a collection of programmed machines into an intelligent, adaptive system. For more than a century, factories have been designed around a simple premise: make the environment predictable and give machines precise instructions. Industrial robots became extraordinarily good at performing repetitive tasks with speed and accuracy, but they remained largely dependent on carefully engineered processes and predefined instructions.
