Mercedes-Benz Testing New Autonomous
Control Lighting Scheme
Mercedes-Benz is introducing a new lighting approach to indicate when their vehicles shift from manual to autonomous control. Turquoise lighting will appear in the front light housing, side mirror element, and rear lighting cluster. The new lighting will appear on test vehicles in California over the next two years. Nevada has approved the approach for production, starting with the 2026 EQS sedan and S-class.
A similar approach to conveying vehicle state was explored throughout the Future of Automobility Series.
Skyryse Launches Skyryse One and SkyOS
Skyryse is working to make general aviation safer and more accessible by offering a fly-by-wire system and an intuitive next-generation interface. The Skyryse One helicopter sets itself apart from others via its SkyOS dual-touchscreen flight interface and fly-by-wire controls. The system is designed to dramatically reduce the demand placed on pilots and keep the aircraft within operational limits, substantially enhancing the safety of the aircraft.
Congratulations to the Skyryse team, which designbivouac worked with to help shape their offering.
